Technical Information
Dimensions:
Device:
L:258mm; W:158mm; H:38mm.
Weight: 750g (with glass and batteries)
Package box:
L: 270mm; W: 170 mm; H: 45mm. Weight: 850g (device included)
Usage Tips:
Designed to work at temperatures between +10 and +40 degrees Celsius.
Keep in a dry place, above -20 and bellow +55 degrees Celsius.
Safe:
- The BVC0411 device has series of built-in protections and indications, making it easily usable and safe for bees:
- The device has a built-in short-circuit front wires protection and an indication if that occurs.
- To protect bees, in a humid weather the device automatically reduces the current or even shuts itself down, to prevent unwanted damage to the bees.
- Additional protection is provided by another automatic feature – if there are too many bees on the device, it shuts down until everything is back to normal.
Standalone:
The device for collecting bee venom is turned on manually, and then turns off automatically after a set period of time. It could be turned off manually as well, if needed.
Other features:
-Indication for low batteries.
-The VB0508 electronic devices provide an individual service of each bee family. The optimal work time per hive is 1-2 hours a day.
-Indication to alert if too many bees on the device.
-Short circuit indication.
-The BVC0411 can service a beehive separately. The optimal work time per hive is 1-2 hours per day (up to 3 cycles per hive per day). One cycle is 40 minutes.
Productivity:
-During the active season, one bee family can provide from 0,2 to 1 gram venom per day*.
-One device can be used on up to 2-3 hives a day.
Random -When farming bee venom, the greatest difference is the device used – according to science researches, bees’ life is significantly increased with optimal electro-stimulation parameters of the device.
According to another research – conditions of short-term systematic electro-stimulation may lead to a stronger bee family – the queen lays eggs more intensively.
*This is the venom weight when scrapped off the glass 5-20 minutes after the glass is removed from the device. The time depends on the temperature and humidity of the weather.
| turning on | manually |
| turning off | automatically after 40 mins, or manually |
| batteries | 2 alkaline AAA batteries |
| battery life | 3 to 5 months |
| Red LED | Solid RED - short-circuit between visible front wires of the device. Two or more wires are connected. |
| Flashing RED - batteries low | |
| Green LED | Flashing slowly - the collector is working normally |
| Flashing quickly - too many bees on the device, or humidity is too high. | |
| Temperature | Suggested air temperature is +10 to +40 C while working. When not using, keep in a place with temperature between -20 and +55 C. |
